An EV3 motor stall detection program is useful for a lot of reasons. It is especially useful in FLL, because you can align your robot by driving it up against a wall and waiting until the motors stop. Though this is a topic I’ve covered before, Peter from FLL team #24559, “Red Dangerous,” shared a new program with me that detects motor stalls using the EV3 motor’s rotation sensor rather than motor power. In this week’s EV3 programming tutorial I will be teaching you how to make the new stall detection program and showing it in action.
